Finnish winter is really starting to affect me as I'm awfully slothful everyday now. Only days I have enough strength to do something are the ones I can ride my bike. Hopefully spring isn't far away, otherwise this might get really serious.
First thing we spotted after arriving to Estonia was this cluster of drug needles. Someone had dumped them on the side of the road that took us to our hotel.

I think the weather just couldn't be any worse than it was today. First it was snowing, then it sleeted and after that it's been raining all the time. Now I'm really looking forward to tomorrows odyssey to school after all that stuff has frozen.
It seems like I'm still under the influence of Simpel Session as it's the only thing I can think about. I really had some great time out there. Unfortunately there's some bad news about the event too, organizers weren't too happy with the way some of the quests behaved. And for that reason, next years might not be the same as it's been so far. Luckily, I feel I can wash my hands of it.

I always wonder what fascinates me in Estonia and Simpel Session. It's really confusing, when you run into every possible misfortune there is but still manage to have the best time of your life. I'm sure these are the moments that will take you trough of any crap you'll face in the future.
Now I'm back home, struggling in the coldness and dreaming of the light that lives behind the wall of darkness.

Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for a while now, our amazing journey to Estonia begins. First night I'm staying at Helsinki but on Thursday morning we're going to step on a ship to Tallinn. This year we decided to take a hotel called Revel Central where all the Finnish riders should be staying. The Simpel Session itself starts on Saturday. It will be amazing again as it is the biggest competition in the whole Europe. I'll be back quite late on Monday so I'm afraid there wont be any updates until Tuesday, sorry. But I promise to keep my fingers busy while taking photos.

Day after tomorrow I'll be on my way to the Simpel Session so this is the penultimate writing before a small break. But hopefully I'll get some quality content from there.
Mondays seem to be the new Sundays for me as it's always the laziest day of the week. I did go to the Cube to ride but besides that I've just been chilling and listening to music. Luckily the weather was so bad again that I can forgive myself.

Turku really showed its better side yesterday. We went to Klubi again which was at it's fullest. It's been a while since everyone ended up in the same place so I really liked it there.
Weather was stunning today, way better than yesterday. But I'm still unsure was it the sunshine that made me smile.

I had some conflicts with my bike today. I'm afraid she's jealous for not seeing me enough as she was unable to relax between my legs.
But now I'm smiling as everyone's here. There are some friends of mine smoking on the balcony at the moment. I hope this picture from there gives you a hint what's going on.

Damn I miss summer today. It's been raining all the time and darkness is just beyond imaginary. I have some friends visiting at the moment and we're about to take a tour in Turku's nightlife later today. Partyparty!

I really have to work my ass of this week to get all the belated schoolwork done. Fortunately our bmx related trip to Estonia is getting closer and closer. Only 7 days to go! I'm really looking forward to it.
Today as I walked through the city this drunken stranger was arguing with a scooterboy in the middle of the road. I didn't have a clue what was going on. First there was a guard solving the situation and few minutes later the police came to take him into custody. Well, at least he got out of the rain.

It's been such a long day today. But I've been waiting it for a while since Apple had their annual Macworld Expo where they announce new products such as this Macbook Air which looks sweet. After school I managed to save my boring day with a film called Hot Rod. It was so hilarious. Watch it when you want to laugh without thinking too much.

We had a really good session at the skatepark today. And now I'm exhausted. But you can find the camera album that I promised yesterday behind the pics link. There's pictures from most of the film cameras that I own. Today is Monday and it's always a dubstep day for me as Bassoradio plays it from 10 p.m to midnight. Remember it next week as it's almost over for today. Good night.

I went to a flea market in the morning and found some toys for the forthcoming designs and a pair of shoes for just 6 euros! I really like them. After that I went to see my parents and made a prototype of a T-shirt that might end up to the hellojere shop one day. Now I've just been relaxing and listening to Yael Naim for couple hours, she's is so good. Here's one of the first shots taken with the Continette that I got last summer. Tomorrow is a day off so I'll try to make that camera album I promised earlier this week.

I think I resolved the myth "Can turkeys fly?" as I fell on my bike today. Now my left knee is pretty swollen and it does hurt too so I'm just staying at home again. Luckily, I found this really good e-Radio called Pig Radio! Check it out.
On my way to buy some food I saw this sign on the wall saying Kovasiipi (Hard wing). It gave me a smile as it is quite hard to walk for me right now and I actually do have wings too, since I am The Turkey.

When I woke up in the morning all the snow had melted away with the rain. And as the darkness has fallen back outside almost everyone wanted to party tonight. But I decided to stay at home because all the projects are piling up. Managed to get something done but as usual I've mainly been listening to records and chatting with my sisters. My latest record purchase is The Black Ghosts - Some Way Through This 12" which includes a dubstep remix by Skream. If your speakers gives justice to deep bass you definitely should give it a try. Today I had my first virtual lecture ever. It was really amusing as we didn't do anything instructive at all. But an extra long weekend started for me now so I can just relax until the school starts again on Tuesday.
Our annual journey to the wonderland Estonia is getting closer and closer. There's this huge bmx & skateboarding contest on 24 - 27th this month. It's always the best weekend of the year for me so I'm really waiting for that one. 80's disco hits are definitely played there again so you can get in to the party mood with us by listening to Anita Wards Ring my bell. It's a nice song but might not work for everyone.

My sisters Elsa & Emmi have been on my mind a lot lately. They were here in Finland for the Christmas and we had one of the best party nights ever at Klubi. It was just great. Last summer my sister Elsa made this installation, The Memories, for Helsinki's Night of the Arts on 24th August. It was made out of frozen milk and on this point it was almost gone. I'm glad I was there to immortalize it.

I took pictures of all my film cameras today. I'll try to make an album out of them later this week. I also did scan some pics from the first reversal film I took with my funny Continette 35mm camera. Unfortunately the best ones were too dark to be scanned with this setup as the colors just seemed to fade away. But here's one anyway from the last months red sky sunset. It really was incredible.

It's the first day ever for the hellojere.com! That's a big news, yeah! Winters been shitty here in Finland. Fortunately there's a bit snow on the ground now. I hope it'll reflect some more sunlight for us. But still it's going to be dark as hell. I'll try to update the blog everyday but since there's plenty of things and trips to do some days will be skipped, sorry. Also I've decided to give up of running the Abobmx website since it never became what I wanted it to be. So if there's any volunteers to step in to my shoes, just holla at me!
